Until there is a cure, preventing AIDS is our best defense to end this disease.

Lifelong’s prevention team is the leading source of educational outreach to at-risk populations in King County. But we do much more than wait for people to come to us for help. HomoHealth, Lifelong's men's program, sends people out into the community to educate people about HIV transmission in an atmosphere of mutual respect. We distribute hundreds of thousands of condoms and safer-sex messages each year. Our Positive Choices, Intersexions and ONE2ONE programs counsel HIV-positive and HIV-negative individuals one-on-one about their sexual choices. And our MPowerment program educates young people about HIV/AIDS through youth-led programs.

We never let people forget the risks of AIDS. We cultivate wisdom, strength and unity to combat prejudice and improve self-esteem, dramatically decreasing the transmission of HIV and STDs.
